The Virgo New Moon is a Supermoon
Q) What is a Supermoon you may ask?
A) A Supermoon is a Full Moon or a New Moon that nearly coincides with perigee—the closest that the Moon comes to the Earth in its elliptic orbit—resulting in a slightly larger-than-usual apparent size of the lunar disk as viewed from Earth. The technical name is a perigee.
It almost seems like a contradiction in terms to think about a Virgo Supermoon. Even though it is a New Moon, so it is more subtle than a Full Moon Supermoon would be. Supermoon’s are closer to Earth. The Moon’s pull on the waters of Earth affect everything and everybody. Our bodies are made of 60% water.
The Virgo New Moon is trine (so-called ‘soft aspect’) to the powerful and important conjunction in Capricorn we’ve been feeling for several years now, and with the added magnifying qualities of Jupiter; the Saturn and Pluto conjunction is informing the energy of the New Moon. All of this is taking place in earth signs, which means it is more subtle, in the background, and yet affects the pulse of all life on earth profoundly.
These deeply transformational forces effect us on a cellular level. And as we have Uranus in Taurus already opening up new evolutionary pathways in our bodies and psyche’s, this feels like the main game at this time.
The New Moon is a time to go in. And especially with the element earth this is facilitated. The unravelling chaos of old paradigms and the conceptual pictures and stories we have of ourselves and the way ‘it is’, can now be processed on a deeper physical and psychic level.
New Moons are also a time for dreaming in your future self. Sorting through your intentions and plans. This Moon is opposite Neptune and forms a T-Square with the Moons Nodes, so this means that you can through your highest inspirations and intentions now re-arrange concepts and ideas which may have been passed down to you through many generations of ancestors. It’s time for us to create a new paradigm here on planet Earth, more refined and of a high frequency. The Moons Nodes represent the soul’s memory, and Neptune can tune us into galactic frequencies if we are available for that.
This New Moon chart is still showing that there’s much change happening in feminine consciousness. Mars is still conjunct Lilith in Aries and Venus in Leo is conjunct Vesta, which are square to Uranus in Taurus, so the feminine in all of us, is looking for change, and at all we’ve sacrificed. Our anger and need to assert new boundaries is coming up to the surface. Mars is in Aries until January 7th 2021. (this is a much longer time than Mars usually stays in a sign).
The warrior feminine is rising and she’s looking at these new boundaries which need to be attended to now so that all of us are regarded equally in the everyday life of our existence.
This applies to Mother Earth as well.
Time for us to defend nature and life on planet Earth.
